Safety is everything.
If you don’t get where you are going safely, it’s not worth going.
Do’s
Do check your tires EVERY time before you ride. Set them to the correct pressure at a service station and then feel it so you know. Get in the habit. teach your kids to also.
Do get good puncture proof tires. A blowout in the front tire at 40kmh hurts. Don’t ask me how I know…….
Do wear gloves, at least light leather. If you do fall, your hands are far less likely to get hurt. Again, don’t ask me how I know.
Do expect other road users not to understand that you are on a bicycle doing 50kph. This is a new concept. Be extremely defensive.
Do wear Hi-Vis gear. We will give you a safety vest at cost.
Do get a very good helmet. You only get one head per life.
Do get good lights, a horn and a right-hand mirror. These will all make you safe. We are happy to provide these.
Don’ts
Don’t expect other road users to understand that you are on a bicycle doing 50kph. This is a new concept. Be extremely defensive.
Don’t be stupid. Treat these transport systems with the respect they deserve.
Don’t be complacent. Remember you are travelling on a space-age, clean, green, electric personal transport device. People are going to be slow to adjust. Nurse their transition.

I am so convinced that the motors I supply for electric bikes are the best on the planet, that if you can out-perform my machines with an identical rated battery, in NZ, I will fly you and a wife/partner/friend, to Chch and personally serve you a three course dinner in butler’s dress (me not you) outside Christchurch cathedral. This includes but is not limited to, cost, durability, range, speed, acceleration, and torque. I do not need to compete on recharge time as no-one can offer anything near the 15 minute minimum recharge we can offer. I look forward to beating you.
